Flights to Ljubljana airport
Ljubljana is served by the Jože Pučnik International Airport. The airport was named in honour of the former dissident and intellectual who is regarded as one of the founding fathers of modern, independent Slovenia.
At the moment, no information is available concerning scheduled domestic services between Slovenia’s three domestic airports as there is none! Slovenia is a relatively small country with a good road and rail infrastructure which is used for travel within the country.
Eight international air carriers use Jože Pučnik Airport. It serves as the base for Adria Airlines, Slovenia’s national airline. Direct flights are available to 27 destinations, including major international hub airports such as Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Vienna and Zurich, facilitating transport to just about anywhere in the world.
Flights to Ljubljana from the UK
Adria Airlines offers a daily service to London’s Gatwick airport. EasyJet offers flights between London’s Stanstead airport and Ljubljana on Thursday to Sunday. Air France operates a service to Ljubljana from London’s Heathrow airport. It may be worth checking other UK departure airports in the summer period and charter flights as seasonal routes are available.
Current information about arrivals and departures at Ljubljana airport can be found on line (see below). Alternatively, information can be obtained by telephone on the following number: +386 4 20 61 981
It is possible for passengers using the national carrier, Adria Airlines (a Star Alliance partner) or Air France flights, to check in over the internet. Web check-in can be made up to 24 hours before the flight and as late as one hour prior to departure. Although personal check-in can made up to thirty minutes before flight departure, it is prudent to arrive in good time because of the security measures in force at all EU airports.
